From Google News Search: "personal pages" How do I remove my personal information from the White Pages, similar websites? Q. I noticed that my phone number and address were available for viewing on various websites online. Some have options to remove this info, but they claim to get all their info from other databases. Where can I acccess these databases and remove my info? TIA! Asked by stuntpilot@sbcglobal.net - Wed Jan 9 02:18:36 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I would start with the company that is providing your local phone service. As I've found out there is a difference between unlisted and unpublished. Unlisted would keep my number out of the phone book but still available to people dialing 411 or searching. Unpublished should keep your number from appearing. Unfortunately once your information is available is on the net, chances are it has been cached so it will still be available. If you really want privacy, you might want to switch to a cell number as these numbers are usually not published and available to search engines. I would really just pressure your local phone company and get your number hidden from anyone. Q. We have a server managed by our IT officer. Does he have the capability to view the pages (photos and messages) that I viewed from my friendster account and email accounts? I understand i am the only one who can view and read the contents of my accounts since I am the only who has access to them. Are there software that he might use to open exactly what the internet users have visited? Asked by Karl - Mon Sep 24 01:18:38 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes.Nowadays alot of software are available to help the IT dept to monitor the user activities in Internet. Like they can able to get the screenshots of ur desktop without ur knowledge, websites that ur visited, even they can get ur keystorks that u had used.
