A. Your birth parents are in korea? We, my family, just adopted a little boy from south korea... i am only 15 so I am not too sure on how to find them...But I think you should hire someone to help you... You should contact your agency, and go from there... But I am living in korea...so...I am not too sure. If you need any help, and you think that I or my family could help you just write me at megan3puppy@hotmail.com.

How do I begin to find my birth parents?
Q. I was born in South Korea in 1992, and I want to try to find my birth parents. Do I have to be 18? If so, how do I even begin my search? I've thought about the fact that both my parents could be dead, or I could possibly never find them, and I've accepted that, but I feel as though a part of me is missing. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my life here in America. Can anyone who's maybe done this before help me?

A. This is the organization that many Korean adoptees and their first families use. Here's an article that might shed some light on what your mother had to face :(

Is it normal to miss your birth parents?

A. I don't know if it is actually missing them, as it is probably that you know nothing about them, and it has created quite a deep hole in your life. A lot of adopted kids feel that way, after they become adults, and to them it becomes a very important part of their lives that must be fulfilled. If you have a need to know, you should ask your adopted parents, or guardians to see what information they have, or at least point you in the right direction where you can find what information you need. If you do try to locate a birth parent, the best of luck to you, and a hope everything works out for you.
